Engineering for Kids

Engineering for Kids strives to expose children to STEM at an early age to help them gain in interest in STEM related fields.

KCSOS Educational Services Foundation

Science 4 Kern is Kern County’s first and only STEM education lending library program geared toward Kern County 4th & 5th graders.

Kern County Library

The Kern County Library supports learning in all academic disciplines, but is especially mindful of how important STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Mathematics) disciplines are right now in the educational community.

Kern County Museum Foundation

The Lori Brock Children’s Discovery Center is an interactive children’s museum that has STEM based learning tools. The discovery center provides a special place for kids to learn through play. Get creative with building like an engineer in the Chevron Maker Annex, and experiment and discover science in the Adventure Zone.

The Kern County Science Foundation

The goal of the Kern County Science Foundation is to advance youth interest in Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math (STEM) in Kern County.

Kern River Valley STEM for Girls

STEM is an acronym for Science, Technology, Engineering and Math education. They focus on these areas together not only because the skills and knowledge in each discipline are essential for student success, but also because these fields are deeply intertwined in the real world and in how students learn most effectively.

North of the River Recreation Foundation

The NOR Recreation Foundation preserves the community’s vitality and livability by raising private funds to enhance and expand our parks, recreation and social services programs and to provide access and opportunity for all.
